First teaser images of the Fiat Viaggio saloon have been revealed

The first images of the Fiat Viaggio saloon have been revealed ahead of the new car’s unveiling at the Beijing motor show later this month.

The four-door, five-seat Viaggio is based on the Fiat Group’s CUSW (Compact US Wide) architecture – as is the new Dodge Dart, which was shown at January’s Detroit motor show – and sits at 4679mm in length and 1850mm in width.

One turbocharged 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine is available in two states of tune – 118bhp or 147bhp. The powerplants will come mated to either a five-speed manual or six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

External features of the new car include what the manufacturer describes as a ‘contemporary Fiat face’ and LED rear lights.

The Fiat Viaggio will be built in the new GAC-Fiat plant in China with sales expected from September. At the moment, it is due to be a China-only offering.
