Images of Pininfarina’s sleek Cambiano concept have been leaked ahead of its official unveil at the Geneva motor show.
Technical details of the Geneva concept have also emerged. It is powered by four battery-powered 79bhp electric motors (one in each wheel), which are topped up by a front-mounted diesel turbine.
Top speed is a claimed 170mph, while the sprint to 62mph from standing is dispatched in 4.2sec. In electric mode only, the Cambiano can cover around 125 miles before the generator kicks in.
Seen here, the concept uses an unusual one-plus-two door configuration. On the car’s passenger side, the rear door is rear-hinged and B-pillar has been eliminated. The large single driver side door also provides access to the sculpted rear seats.
Further external features include a full-length glass roof and use of LED lights for the concept’s headlamps.
Inside the Cambiano, extensive use of wood makes up the flooring and glass is used on the centre console.
The Cambiano has also been designed to celebrate joint Pininfarina landmarks, the 30th anniversary of the Styling Centre and 10 years since the Engineering Centre began.
