Lebanese firm W Motors confirms its new supercar, the Hyper-Sport, will make its public debut at the 2013 Qatar motor show

Lebanese start-up manufacturer W Motors has confirmed plans to launch its first supercar. The production version of the Hyper-Sport – of which only five will ever be built – will make its public debut at the 2013 Qatar motor show. A Super-Sport version will follow shortly afterwards.

Reports suggest that the Hyper-Sport will feature a carbonfibre monocoque. Power is rumoured to come from a 740bhp, mid-mounted twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine. A 0-62mph time of 2.8sec and a 240mph top speed are also claimed.

W Motors is targeting the Middle and Far Eastern, African and eastern European markets with its Hyper-Sport. The Hyper-Sport will feature a fully functional holographic display with 'interactive motion' that "gains years of innovation ahead of competition”, according to W Motors’ founder Ralph Debbas.

Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
