Volkswagen has added a new R Line trim to the Volkswagen Polo line-up. Available with VW’s existing 103bhp 1.2-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine and six-speed manual gearbox, R Line Polos will hit 62 mph in 9.7 seconds and go on to a top speed of 118 mph.
Based on the current ‘Match’ spec Polo, R Line cars add deeper front and rear bumpers, a black gloss radiator grille and deeper side sills. Kit also includes 16-inch alloys and rear tinted glass.
Standard interior equipment comprises a six speaker stereo with iPod connectivity, sports seats, air conditioning, electric windows and electric, heated door mirrors. The car’s front grille, seats, steering wheel and aluminium scuff plates all carry R Line badging.
The Polo R Line can be ordered now (ahead of official sales in July) with prices starting from £15,195 for the three-door model and £15,815 for the five-door version.
